Devotions

Father of light, the day is done, and I come to You for rest. I thank You for the blessings and the challenges of this day, for in all things, you are with me. I lay before You my failings and my successes. Forgive me for the moments I fell short—for the unkind word, the selfish thought, the opportunity to love that I missed. Wash me clean in Your mercy. I also thank You for the moments of joy, for the glimpses of Your goodness in the world and in the people around me. Now, as I prepare for sleep, I place my trust in You. Quiet my mind, ease my worries, and grant me peaceful rest. Protect me and my loved ones through the darkness of the night. May I awaken refreshed in body and spirit, ready to serve You once more. Amen.
